You get the concept. List at minimum twenty things that you are adept at, or have been good at before. For instance, if you know you are a superior gardener, even though you at present reside an apartment, list “horticulture”.

Concept Generator 2: Your previous experiences.

Experiences sell. If you have been kidnapped by little green men from the Red Planet, it is a book. If you are a bigamist, it is a book. Individuals have composed books about their sicknesses, their dependencies, and their pets. Browse through the bestseller titles to determine what personal experiences individuals are writing about.

Here is where you stroll down memory lane. If you are in your 20’s, it will be a short stroll. If you are in your 40’s or older, it can be a hike. Do not get bogged down on this, list twenty experiences you have had that come to mind.

(Her chocolate recipes are impressive.) What do you have a passion for? Individuals have written on garage/yard sales, make-up, automobiles, holidays. If you love something, probabilities are that 1000’s or perhaps 1000000’s of other people will love it also.

Observe the papers and take note of ongoing trends. Or better yet, listen to what your youngsters are discussing, or asking you to purchase for them. Youngsters tend to be on top of what is going on.

Remember that it can take close to 2 years for your book to reach the bookshops.
